| Using data to increase our impact | Samson Tesfaye Woldetensaie and his fellow members of the Rotary Club of Addis Ababa Central-Mella, Ethiopia, used data that they gathered through a community assessment to help identify local water needs, determine the best way to address them, and make a bigger impact. “To collect data, first we observe,” he notes. After that, he says, “we do selective interviews from different perspectives.” Another important step is assessing the project after it is complete by observing and talking to people again.
