Club Membership Toolbox
A club must take intentional action through planning to show sustainable growth. Clubs must address new member attraction and engagement as well as experienced member retention. Studies and experience in District 6630 have shown that growth is driven by:
- Having clear goals and a growth plan
- Being visibly active in your community
- Having many events and projects to engage members and partners
- Having active intentional member engagement
To be successful, a club growth plan need not be complex; in fact, an action plan with just a few planned items that are tracked and completed is more desirable than a multilevel plan that becomes wallpaper. Consider connecting with your Chamber of Commerce, Leadership or other community organizations.
Brainstorm potential members using tools in the resources below. Once you have brainstormed potential members, invite them to a prospective member event.
Once you have brainstormed potential members, invite them to a prospective member event. Other opportunities are family and corporate memberships and increasing your club's service and visibility in the community to attract people with the same hands and hearts for service as you.
Below there are four areas that we need to focus on when intentionally growing our clubs:
1. Planning, 2. Finding and Attracting New Members
3. New Member Engagement, and 4. Experienced Member Engagement.

In each section below there are clickable icons that will provide ideas followed by downloadable resources that you can modify for your club's use. You will need to work with your membership committee and members to select the ideas and actions that will cause your own unique club to grow and serve your community and the world in great, unexpected ways!
