Berea Rotary honors scholarship winners & RYLA camper
Berea Rotary met at the Aviator Event Center on Aug. 12 to recognize two of our Scholarship recipients and to hear a report from our RYLA camper.

Christina Calvis and Lance Lease were unable to attend the Berea Rotary Scholarship Dinner in July. Christina is attending Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, near Dayton. She is studying early childhood education. This summer, she was a camp counselor.
Lance is a sophomore at Cleveland State University, studying civil engineering. This summer, he interned with the Cuyahoga County Public Works Department and worked on projects at the Metroparks yacht club.
Splendide Ngulamposo was our 2025 RYLA camper at Hiram College.
“I didn’t know what to expect,” she said, but found the experience “life-changing.”
She learned to emphasize “having a positive attitude” and “pushing yourself to the limits”
